Whilst born in Hemel Hempstead Chris was brought up on the rural Isle of Wight surrounded by all sorts of animals (as well as sea!). It was then no surprise that after graduating from Glasgow University Vet School in 1990 he spent his first three years as a vet working with a varied mix of companion and farm animals.
For the past 20 years he has specialised in the care of pet animals gaining wide-ranging experience in several clinics up and down the country. He has undertaken further training in surgery, including a two year course at the Davies Veterinary specialist referral centre.
We are pleased that Chris has after all these years come back to where he started (nearly). He has been working at the Wheelhouse since February 2005 and lives in Bovingdon with his wife, four cats and a dog.
Outside of work his interests include maintaining and driving his Landrover and his old 1953 Rover 90 (yes, just like the one Siegfried Farnham drives on the TV).
